Thanks to American Patriot, Francis Scott Key for writing these famous four verses, starting on September 14, 1814 during the battle at Ft. McHenry, in Baltimore, Maryland, as part of The War of 1812. Special thanks to Mary Pickersgill and her family for sewing the Star-Spangled Banner Flag that was flown in Baltimore.
