Each year on December7, Americans pause to remember one of the most pivotal events in our nation’s history; the attack on Pearl Harbor. In the early morning hours of December 7,1941, the U.S. naval base in Hawaii was struck in a surprise offensive that claimed the lives of 2,403 service members and civilians, wounded thousands more, and destroyed or damaged a significant portion of the Pacific Fleet. President Franklin D. Roosevelt called it “a date which will live in infamy.” World War II and forever altering the course of global history.
On this Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we salute the greatest Generation. May we carry forward their example of courage, service, and unwavering love of country. Navy Wives Club of America
